Gurgen Aslanyan

Gurgen Aslanyan, Ph.D. is an applied economist and educator at the American University of Armenia, serving as the Chair of the MS in Economics program. His research and teaching focus on development economics and public policy, informed by prior academic appointments at CERGE‑EI and collaborations with institutions across Europe and the United States. He previously served as President of the Armenian Economic Association (2017-2025) and, since 2022 has been a member of the Economic Policy Council of Armenia.
