Summary
This year, the Tatevatsi Economics Olympiad once again brings together schools from across Armenia to foster students’ economic thinking and analytical skills. All schools can participate in the Olympiad, regardless of whether economics is taught as a subject or not. Registration is done through a school representative by filling out the form.
Towards the Tatevatsi Economics Olympiad 2026
Many people think that economics is only about numbers and calculations.
However, it teaches us how to think — how to understand cause-and-effect relationships, why people make decisions in certain ways, and how to find the most efficient solutions.
It is precisely this way of thinking that the Tatevatsi Economics Olympiad aims to develop. It is designed for students in grades 10–12 and is part of the International Economics Olympiad, which includes participants from more than 30 countries.
Who Can Participate
All schools can take part in the Olympiad, even if economics is not taught as a separate subject. Knowledge from social sciences and mathematics will be sufficient to participate — the most important thing is interest and the desire to try one’s strengths in a new field.
Moreover, every student in grades 10–12 can participate, regardless of academic performance.
Facts About the Olympiad
The Tatevatsi Economics Olympiad is an initiative aimed at promoting economic education and shaping students’ practical economic thinking.
Participation from each school includes all interested students in grades 10–12.
The more students are involved, the more meaningful the school’s contribution and the students’ experience.
In 2025, more than 100 schools from various regions of Armenia took part in the Tatevatsi Economics Olympiad.
This year, the Olympiad is again open to everyone to increase interest in economics.
The Tatevatsi Economics Olympiad is free of charge for all students and schools.
How to Register
Registration is done only by schools, not by individual students. All educational institutions with grades 10–12 or equivalent-age students can register. A school representative (teacher) fills out the form on behalf of the school and registers it for the Tatevatsi Economics Olympiad.
